ALIA
Four lift props + pusher; cargo and passenger
Vermont-built, all-electric lift-plus-cruise eVTOL from BETA Technologies: four V600A electric lift motors with 2-blade lift propellers, plus one H500A electric pusher motor with a 5-blade fixed-pitch propeller. BETA's aircraft page lists a 50 ft wingspan, 200 ft³ of cargo volume or 5 passengers, a max speed of 153 kts, a 35-minute optimized charge time, single-pilot IFR-capable operation, and operations from airports and vertiports. BETA's A250 emergency response guide gives four 45 kWh lithium-ion battery packs at 800 V, a 39 ft length and a 14 ft 10 in height. BETA completed piloted full transitions of the ALIA VTOL in 2024. Orders come from cargo and logistics (UPS, Bristow), medical (Metro Aviation, New Zealand Air Ambulance) and passenger operators (FlyNYON). BETA targets FAA type certification about 12 months after its ALIA CTOL (CX300), with cargo and logistics first and a passenger version to follow. BETA does not publish ALIA VTOL range, cruise speed, payload weight, MTOW or price. Not type-certified.
