EHang's pilotless two-seat eVTOL: 16 coaxial propellers on eight arms, flying preset routes under ground command-and-control. EHang publishes a 30 km maximum range, 25 minutes of flight time, a 130 km/h maximum design speed and a 620 kg maximum takeoff weight. It holds the world's first eVTOL type certificate (CAAC, October 2023), plus standard airworthiness (December 2023) and production (March 2024) certificates, and two operators received CAAC Air Operator Certificates in March 2025. Operations in China are still routine trial operations, and EHang says the timing of commercial passenger approvals is uncertain. Suggested retail price is US$410,000 outside China and RMB 2.39 million in China (from April 2024). The CAAC certificate does not carry over to the FAA or EASA.
