The ePlane Company

e200X

Synergistic Lift (patented)

The ePlane Company (Ubifly Technologies, IIT Madras, Chennai) is developing the e200X, a compact all-electric lift-plus-cruise aircraft for air taxi, air ambulance and cargo work. ePlane lists an 8 × 11 m footprint, 110 km range, 160 km/h cruise, 1 pilot + 2 passengers (or 200 kg of cargo), six lift rotors and four forward propellers with no tilting parts, a glide ratio of 10 and a ballistic parachute. DGCA accepted its type-certificate application in 2024, and ePlane holds India's first private DGCA Design Organisation Approval. The first full-scale prototype, the 2.2-tonne PT-01, was unveiled in July 2026 and is in ground testing. ePlane plans flight testing with three prototypes in 2027–2028 and targets commercial operations in 2028. Not type-certified; not for private sale.
