Fixed-prop VCA — canard and main wing
UK two-seat personal eVTOL from Skyfly Technologies: a canard-and-wing 'vertically capable aircraft' with four fixed 1.9 m rotors driven by eight 35 kW motors. It hovers nose-high and then flies on its wings, with no tilting parts. Skyfly's September 2026 tech spec lists a 750 kg MTOW, 550 kg basic empty weight including a 250 kg, 60 kWh battery, 200 kg useful load, 48 kt stall and 6:1 glide. Skyfly quotes a range of 100+ miles at a 100 mph cruise and estimates about an hour of flight at that speed. Safety features: eight motors, triple-redundant flight controls, mechanical control linkages for gliding and a ballistic parachute. First crewed hover in October 2024; over 50 piloted test flights in the UK and US. The configurator lists £295,000 ($400,000); a £1,000 reservation and refundable 10% deposit secure a build slot, with deliveries targeted for 2027. Skyfly plans FAA MOSAIC Light-Sport certification; not type-certified. Top speed is not published.
