Volocopter

VoloCity

18 fixed-pitch rotors; 2 seats (initially 1 pilot + 1 passenger)

Volocopter's two-seat, 18-rotor urban air taxi. Official Design Specifications 2024: about 20 km operational range incl. safety margins, 90 km/h cruise, 100 km/h max, about 1,000 kg MTOM, lithium-ion batteries swapped between flights. Volocopter holds EASA design organisation approval and expects EASA certification in 2027 (not yet awarded). In Paris in August 2024 it flew test and demo flights without passengers. After the 2024 insolvency, Volocopter has operated under Diamond Aircraft Group Austria (Wanfeng) since March 2025, with headquarters still in Bruchsal. Flight testing continues: ADAC Luftrettung pilots flew it in May 2026, and in September 2026 it completed a full test mission on 17 of its 18 motors. Price, payload and endurance are not published.
