Flight testingWisk Aero
Generation 6
12 electric props: 6 front tilting (lift + cruise), 6 rear lift-only; 4 passengers, no onboard pilot
Wisk Aero's self-flying, all-electric four-passenger air taxi, with no pilot on board. Every flight is overseen by a ground-based Multi-Vehicle Supervisor. It has 12 electric propellers: six tilting units in front of the wing and six fixed lift units behind it. Wisk's published Gen 6 figures are about 120 kt cruise, 90 miles range with reserves, a cruising altitude of 2,500–4,000 ft and a wingspan under 50 ft. It recharges in about 15 minutes between flights (no battery swap) and has no whole-aircraft parachute. Gen 6 first flew on 16 December 2025 at Hollister, California, and Wisk is now flight testing two Gen 6 aircraft there. FAA type certification is in progress and has not been awarded; the FAA issued its Stage 2 G-1 issue paper (certification basis) in 2024. Wisk targets commercial passenger service by the end of the decade, with Houston, Los Angeles and Miami named as launch markets. Wisk is a Boeing subsidiary; Archer Aviation agreed in August 2026 to acquire it, with closing expected by the end of 2026. MTOW, payload, top speed, battery capacity, flight time and price are not published.
